7 weel old kitten born with nub for a tail, pee's while asleep

I picked up a 7 week old kitten that was born with a nub for a tail, I brought her home, cleaned her up and she practically fell asleep right away. My concern is that she pee'd while she slept and also pooped a lil bit. Is she too young to be without her mother? Or could this possibly have something to do with her abnormality?

I've had cats all my life, this is a first for me, any suggestions?

Hi kittens especially stray kittens are very susceptible to picking up viruses etc and so i would always recommend that you have them checked over a by a vet.
As you say she may have genetic problems and could be the runt of the litter and that is why she was left. the vet will be able to find out and that way you will know what you are dealing with.

Poor little thing, what a way to start a life. thank goodness for people like you. i wish you all the best and hope she is Ok

best wishes kate
