hi

My male 9 year old short hair cat is peeing often all over the apt about a size of a quarter looks like he is straing ..but showing no signs of pain / hurting. What can i do with him?
Thank you

hi well this is either a behavioral issue or he is suffering from a UTI infection.

male cats are more prone to UTi's then females and they can be very nasty.

See this page for more information on them

If you think he is definitely straining then it does sound like either an infection or a possible blockage problem and i would suggest that you take him to the vets as soon as possible.

If it were behavioral it would more likely be in the same place every time and caused by some upset in the home see here for more on this
