a big cut that wont stop bleeding

My cat has a medium sized cut by her tail and it won't stop bleeding. It has been bleeding for 2days already we tried to cover it up to make it stop. We think someone might have shot her. What do I do to make it stop?

It sounds like she will need stitches and most likely antibiotics too. Both of which only the vet can do and prescribe.

until you can get her to the vets all you can do is to bind the wound (not too tight you don't want to cut the blood supply off 0 and keep changing the bandage to make sure the wound does not become infected.
