After a Cat Fight..help!

Okay so my male cat got in a fight with a stray yesterday, and it was pretty bad. Both of my cats (male&female) disspeared after but they came back, but not together. Well now when we tried to re-introduce them the male was acting normal but Chloe(female) started making a strange noise. Im not sure what it is. I do know that it is not a growl, the noise seems to come from inside her.

Do you know what this noise is or means?

I have heard my cat make a strange low rumble screech which seems to come from inside her. But I do think this is a sort of growl and just means leave me a alone.

As long as you are sure she was not hurt during the fight and so is not in pain then I would not worry too much at this stage. Give her some space and leave her alone to get over the shock and fear of the recent goings on. It may take her a day or two to recover but I'm sure she will in her own time.
