Aging Cat

by Thomas O' Malley

My cat is 16-17 years old, lately he has been losing weight, vomiting and sleeping more. I know he's getting up in age but I'm not sure if his losing weight is something to be concerned about. He's slightly more active, going outside more than he used to... due to the weather. What should we expect as a problem in an aging cat?

well you know what i'm going to say. With these symptoms i would suggest that you take them to the vet. It could be a thyroid problem with the losing of weight, which is quite common these days and easily treated.
It's difficult to say what you can expect as a cat gets older. every one is different. they will obviously slow down and sleep more as they get older.
