My Cat Bertie

My Cat Bertie

We first met Bertie in 2011, we were all (my brother, my mother and I) going into a pet shop when as we walked in, we noticed a couple had brought in a box of tiny, black kittens. They explained that they had found the kittens, abandoned in their back garden and were unable to look after the kittens themselves; and explained that the rescue centres were closed. The couple turned to us and offered for us to take one of the kittens home. These kittens were all beautiful, but one of the little kittens especially caught my mum's eye and so we took the kitten home. We later named the kitten Bertie (after taking him to the vet to find out he was a little boy). He was just one week old when we adopted him that day and so my mum hand reared him with a lot of T.L.C. He turned out to be the hairiest brother I've ever had. He goes to bed when my mum goes to bed and snuggles up to her with his arm around her arm. He really does think my mum is his mum. He's the most beautiful little boy and we all love him with all our hearts. He does actually assume he is one of the kids (as you can see from the photo, he even sits like a human!!! Lol). We hope you love this photo of him licking his lips and winking at the camera; I assume this pose is one for any lady friends interested in him for Valentine's Day. Love Bertie's family.

I must add (it's me Lucia G), that on our way to the pet shop my brother, mother and I all discussed getting another cat (we have 3) and even stated how much we would like a black one next....literally 5 mins later...our wish came true....one for Halloween too...spookehhhhhh X
