Black Cat

Here for the last few evenings, a black cat has been at my doorstep meowing short meows over and over. I am curious what meaning this has, or am i just paranoid? Please help

I believe this simply means let me or give me something to eat.

When I was young a small kitten appeared on my doorstep and just sat there and meowed and meowed until we finally broke down and let her in. She stayed for 13 years.

Some times female cats with litters will go out looking for homes that are friendly to give her some food and then possibly leave a kitten with. i have known this too.

As to what you do well that is up to you, she will give up eventually if she thinks she is getting no where but then of course you could always let her in :)
