hi sounds to me like it could be flea eggs of dirts. Often the rear end is where the worse of the infestation is.

this sounds rather a bad case and your cat and house will need to be treated together if it is fleas. see here for more on this.

However you should also take your cat to the vets to have him looked at in case an infection has also flared up in his behind and also to have the problem properly diagnosed.
