blue bumps on cats ear

Blue bumps in our cats ear. She also rubs this ear very hard some times. The bump is half round the size of an eraser. What can it be. Thanks Keith

Hi well it could be a growth, my cat had a dark lump on her ear and it turned out to me a non canercerous growth that had to be removed.

The other possibility is that it is mites which have burrowed under the skin.

My feeling is that it definitely needs to be seen by a vet sooner rather than later. If it is a growth it needs to be treated before it has time to get too big. If it is ear mites they need to be treated to prevent infection.
