bluish lumps on cats chin and in ears

by Louise Blouin

My daughter and I discovered a few days ago that our 12year old cat has developed bluishlumps on her chin and in her ears they don't seem to bother her but we are curious any ideas?

Difficult to say without seeing them. Are you sure they are not flea dirts?

If not then there is a condition known as cat acne which normally appears around the chin so would be strange to be in the ear as well.

to be perfectly honest with you i think the lumps needs to be examined properly by a vet. It may be some reaction to coming in contact with something or it may be some sort of parasite which is under the skin. The only way to find out is for a much closer inspection of the lumps.

i would be very interested to hear what the vets diagnosis is after he has seen them. it does sound rather puzzling..

best wishes Kate
