care after cat castration

My cat was castrated yesterdfay and has been fine since he came home, however tonight he has been for a poop then wiped himself all over the carpet in two of my rooms. we cleaned him and the carpet ahnd then he did it again whilst making a horrible crying noise. is this norma or should I take him to the vet. Thanks

no this is not normal and i would give the vets a call to ask their andvice, just in case it is a sign of a complication. Hopefully it is just a symptom of the anethetic wearing off.
