Hi am very surprised that your cat can drink whole milk as cats are intolerant of lactose and this can give them diarrea which can also lead to weight loss. usually it is recommened that they drink specail milk formulated for cats with the lactose taken out.

Any way, your cat is a very old boy now and weight loss is quite common in an old cat anyway, so it may simply be age that has made him thin ie his body is not processing nutrients as well as in a younger cat. Make sure you are feeding him a cat food that has been developed for the sebior cat theres an example of one on my page here https://www.our-happy-cat.com/cat-diet.html as this type of food will help give him everything his body needs. As long as he is eating his normal amount of food then you may just have to put down his slight frame to his age. Little Mo is getting on now and she eats as normal but is definately thinner than she used to be. however the vet has now given her a clean bill of health since her thyroid operation.
