Cat behavior question

My 12 yr old neutered male cat jumped up on a chair today and sprayed urine on the wall behind him. What's up with this behavior?

Hi well this sort of behavior is usally associated with change or some sort causing your cat to feel the need to mark his territory again. Even neutered cats will do this from time to time. It is quite a common issue which should not last long but in extreme cases the cat may need some help to feel relaxed again in their home.
