Cat eye crust

my cat all of a sudden go a weird eye crust..he has never had it before but he is pretty old. What do i do?

Hi you can wipe it away with a soft clean damp cloth to stop it getting so bad that he can't open his eyes.
This may be just down to old age but if you notice any other signs of ill health then take them to the vets for a check up.
