Cat humping my arm

by Pamela

My male un-neutered cat, about 1.5 years old, started biting and trying hump my arm about a month ago. I shoo him off and tell him no, but he's getting progressively more aggressive about it. At first he just nibbled my arm and wrist, but now he clasps on and I have to pull him off. Why is he doing this? In a house with 6 people it seems I'm the only one he does this to. It's getting really annoying!

Hi
well this is completely normal behavior for a non neutered male cat. the fact that he chooses you only is also not unusual, you must be his favorite. lucky you.

The best solution would be to have the poor frustrated guy neutered. it has health benefits for him too. see here for more info

There is really no way to stop him doing it otherwise.

best wishes Kate

Neutering not the answer
by: Anonymous

My 6 month old cat had never done this before, not until the day AFTER he was neutered. So neutering is not necessarily the answer!
