Hi
well it is difficult to say, some cats are genetically thinner that others. however there are also illnesses which can cause weight loss or prevent the body from being able to use nutrients from their food properly. Such as Thyroid issues, heart problems or diabetes.

you will need to take your cat to the vets to have a check up, he may want to do some tests to see if your cat is suffering from any of these possible conditions.

Don't worry if he does have any of these conditions they can be easily treated. and if he gets the all clear then at least you know he is a healthy cat.

best wishes kate
