cat leaving brown spots everywhere

by kelly

My female cat that has been fixxed is leaving brown spots on my furnitre and bed, why is this happening?

Answer by Kate
This is either diarrhoea, or she is not cleaning herself properly or she may have an infection. it is very difficult to say.

i know this sounds horrible but take a closer look at the spots and see if you can tell if they are faeces or not. Also take a look at your cats behind to see if she has a dirty behind.

if you really are not sure and if it continues your oly option is to have her checked out by a vet to make sure she is not ill in some way.

best wishes kate

Tiny brown spots on floor
by: JoAnn

My cat is leaving brown wet spots everywhere she sits. I am finding them even on the floor. It looks like a little drop and smell like poo.

Probably is. Sounds like she might have loose stools. Please information on this site re diarrhea. https://www.our-happy-cat.com/cat-diarrhea.html

Flea baths are not the cure. Flea control is the cure.

I know whats up

My name is Arvella and my cat does the same thing and what I have found out is that its really nothing bad at all. See my cat has fleas so bad that she has what we call blood spots. She leaves them everywhere. So because of it I have to give flea baths atleast once a week. Sence I have been giving her a bath once a week she does'nt leave blood spots anymore. Trust me I thought it was really bad to. Try it might work. GOOD LUCK
