Cat loosing weight after brother dies

Hi my cat is about 9 years old now

his brother died recently, about 2 months ago. our other cat started getting skinny, but now his crying he wont move, his breath stinks very badly. if u try pick him up he cries. he wont eat. please help me i dont know what to do.

i have tried two vets and nothing so far.
please help. i think his dying and i need to save him

I am so sorry to hear that your remaining cat is sick too. I'm not sure what you mean when you say that you have seen two vets but no luck. Do you mean that they have not been able to diagnose him? that is strangeas they should be able to do blood tests etc and have they not given you any advice at all.

At the end of the day if the vets cannot find anything physically wrong with him, then it is either old age (although 9 is not that old) or your cat is grieving for the loss of his companion. this has been known, just like us humans they may feel distressed when things change around them like this and they may loose their appitite. try feeding him some extra smelly food to entice him to eat and spend lots of time with them, playing etc to try and take their mind off of their loss.
