cat missing while in heat

my cat escaped 6 days ago because she was in season i am frantic do you think she could be ok there was a fox at the front of my house which makes me think she wont be home again

it is not unusual for cats in heat etc to go walk about for weeks on end sometimes.

All you can do is to keep calling her. leave food out for her and to also leave something outside which smells of her so that she knows where home is.

I wouldn't worry too much but you should start also to ask neighbors to check sheds etc, put posters up and ask your local animal shelters in case someone has brought her to them.
