Cat on vacation

We are sitting for a cat while the "parents are on vacation". About how long does a cat sleep every day?

well I have never been asked that before :).

The answer, well it has been known for cats to sleep on and off all day as night time is the natural time for cats to be most active. However many cats have adapted to our time keeping and sleep during the night as well as during the day.

Cats sleep a lot and this can increase as the cat gets older. SO if they are sleeping a lot I wouldn't worry as long as they are still eating as normal etc and are not showing any signs of illness, vomiting, diarrhoea etc.
