cat peeing in chairs and bed

by diane
(grandville, mi)

our 15 lb 2yr. old cat has been treated 2x in the last month for uti, he started peeing in our living room chair, my daughters bed and clothes basket before the uti and is still doing it. Whats going on?

Hi it could be that he can still smell his urine in these areas, if so it will encourage him to urinate there again. Make sure these areas are as clean as possible. See this page for some tips

While you are cleaning these areas again, I would suggest a period of litter training again using the confinement process described here

I hope this helps

best wishes kate
