cat tail/behind..

by dave

Hi there

I have a domestic cat, its 8 months old, it has been acting weird the past few days. I noticed it yesterday that it had trouble lifting its butt, and so it had to sit down and was growling.. and it seems to be in pain. I took it to the emergency overnight vet clinic, they gave her a shot, and didnt do much, the vet said there was something wrong with its behind when he was pressing on the spine..In the morning it got worse, and the cat was rolling around on the carpet..Maybe the bone fractured? thats what im guessing..but im not sure...
please help, thanks..

Oh my goodness what kind of vet do you have. Surely they should have tried to diagnose the problem for you.

My advice is to get them back to a vet as soon as possible. poor cat sound in lots of pain.

As to what it could be, i cannot say i am not a vet and in any case needs to be examined properly. Could be a blockage, an abscess, parasites, or a structural problem like a bone fracture.

Pleas let me know the out come of this problem, it sounds awful.

i wish you all well
best wishes Kate
