cat vomiting after pet loss

How can I get my cat to stop vomitting once a day?

My 14 year old siamese female cat cope with the loss of her litter mate 2 months ago?
She vomits undigested food once daily all over the house
Her bowels and bladder are ok
Vet says she is healthy, and to get a kitten
I am not willing to do this unless the vomiting stops
Any suggestions would be appreciated

Firstly I wish vets would not give such advice. getting a kitten is not the answer for your cat to over come the loss of another pet. in fact often they will hate another cat being around.

As for the vomiting. My cat used to be like this, it was associated with her eating too quickly. Now this could be due to the fact that she a little anxious at this time. i would suggest feeding her much smaller meals but more often. this will stop her gulping down too much and causing her to throw up. As time progresses and she begins to calm down then the food amount can be increased slowly again.
