Cat vomitting once a day

My fourteen year old male Chinchilla has been vomiting about once a day for a few weeks. He has lost weight but seems ok other wise and is always hungry soon after vomiting. A vet could not diagnose the problem. Has anyone any ideas?

hi
i assume the vet checked his thyroid and suggested some blood work tests to see if there were any problems?

the other option is that your cat is gulping down her food too quickly and causing the vomiting (my old cat was like this for a while). I stopped the vomiting by feeding her smaller meals but more often so that she could not eat too much at one go. See if this helps at all, if not then if it were me I would find a different vet for a second opinion.

Cat vomiting can have many causes, see this page for more information on some of them
