cat won't stop crying when i'm away

I found a 4 month kitten on the streets and have taken her in. She is now 9 months. She's always been a friendly kitten. I work for an airline so do not have a routine and sometimes away for a period between 4 to 6 days (i do have a friend to come in and feed her). The problem is she wont stop cryng. When I get home its 24/7 crying, at times she "growl". The neighbours are complaining and I really dont know how to keep her quiet. I stay in an apartment so maybe she is bored and wants to be back out on the streets. I do not want to give her up but at the same time I cant keep her if she continues with this.. She has also started using the toilet just next to her litterbox and not in it???

PLEASE HELP WITH ANY ADVICE
Thanks so much

Hi
Have you had her spayed?

If not then I would say that this is the cause of her constant meowing. Having her spayed will make her a calmer more content cat.
See this page for information about spaying

Also if she is inside all the time she will become bored and frustrated. it is important to give her new toys to play with on regular basis, this can mean rotating her toys so that she does not get tired of them.
please see this page for some ideas on how to keep an indoor cat happy

best wishes Kate
