Cat wont use litter tray now

Our cat was sick with diarrehia for a couple of days and now she won't go downstairs and use the litter box. She has been going to the bath room around the house on clothes and the rug. How do we get her to use the litter box again?

Hi as long as she is healthy again and is still not sick in some way then it may just be that she is feeling a little uncertain and needs some time to readjust and regain her confidence.

i would recommend a period of litter training again using the confinement method described here
