after coming in last night our cat is acting very strange hissing alot not herself at all.also keeps putting her bottom in the air plus seems in slight distress eating and drinking fine. 7yrs of age neutered please help.

Answer from Kate

well it is difficult to say what is causing her apparent distress. All I can say is to keep an eye on her for a day or so and if her behavior and especially this bottom raising continues, take her to a see a vet in case there is something bothering her in that area.

Also make sure she is flea free and that she can pass urine etc ok too.

Sorry i could not be more specific but she may need an examination to discover what is causing her to behave in this way.

best wishes Kate
