cats going outside for first time

We are nervous about letting our two one-year old cats outside for the first time. What do you think about leashs?

well i have never used a leash but i know some owners do. It all depends on your own circumstances really and how your cat will react to them.

When we got our two cats we were very nervous too about letting them out. we bought a leash to see if they would get on with it. But they simply did not like it at all.

In the end we let them out side. i was really worried but they were fine and stayed close to home at first. then as they got braver they went a little further. But cats are smart, they know where home is and food etc.

I have owned cats all my life and have always allowed them outside.
