cats loosing hair and loosing weight
by Becky
(Louisville, OH)
My elderly parents have two cats who are not in good health.
They have both lost weight.
Their hair is falling out in clumps. Much of the hair is sticking out in clumps as well. They are not bald, but the clumps sticking out look like they could be pulled loose.
Does anyone have an idea of what this could be?

Sounds to me like a skin cindituion either caused by a parasite or allergy.
In either case your cats need to see a vet as soon as possible as the condition is making them so ill that they are loosing weight now.
I hope the vet can help them quickly.
best wishes Kate
