Change in My Cats Behavior

I returned from work last night and my 13 y/o cat behavior has completely changed. He appears apathetic, almost startled - like he is not sure where he is. Reacts to noises in a scared way - not like him at all. He also does not react to his favorite thing - his brush. PLEASE HELP!!

When ever there is a significant change in a cats behavior I also ways recommend taking them to see a vet for a check up. especially as your cat is getting older now and so unfortunately illness does start to creep up on them.

Perhaps wait a few days to see if his behavior reverts back to his old self just in case it was a random situation, perhaps something frightened him.

If his behavior is still not normal then yes a trip to the vets may be a good idea.
