Concerned about my old cat

My cat is about 10 years old and just yesterday he started throwing up he seems to have troubles getting it up and is dry heaving allot. He is walking really slow and streching out his back legs whenever he moves and is meowing more then usual in a higher pitched meow. He is an indoor cat so i cant think of anything he would have gotten into. Do you have any ideas what could be wrong with him?

Hi
well it is impossible to say what could be causing this as there are many causes for cats to vomit. however I wonder if he has a hairball stuck and that is why he is dry heaving. Sometimes it can take awhile to get it up.

Please see my page about this for more information here

If there is no improvement after a few more days then a trip to the vets may be your best option in case there is something stuck in his throat.

best wishes Kate
