concerned cat lover

my 3 yr old female cat "sassafrass" is spayed. however, my mother and i have noticed her breast area to be sagging as if she was pregnant even though she is not. Her stomach isn't furry. It is a pink skin so you can see the nipples on her. She is an indoor cat also.

What causes this and do I need to be concerned?

Answer by Kate
I'm not sure that the sagging is anything particularly to worry about, it may be that she is a little heavier than she should be and this is fat. however she should have fur on her tummy and if not then she may have a skin allergy or parasite problem.

if i were you I would have her checked out by a vet just to be on the safe side. he will be able to check her tummy area to make sure there is nothing causing the saggyness and also if there is a problem with her skin etc. I think it is always better to be safe than sorry when it is something a little odd in cases like this.

i hope she is Ok

best wishes Kate
