Concerned For My Cat

I have adopted a cat from the ASPCA about a month and a half ago. for the most part she stays under my bed and is afraid of me. For the past three days she has decided not to eat, drink, or use the litter box. Is there something I can do? I am worried. How long before she will be dehydrated?

Dehydration can kick in fast and so 3 days is already a bit long. My advice is to take her to see a vet as soon as you can to have her checked for any underlying illness. At the very least if she is dehydrated the vet will be able to help her immediately with this.

Once you know that there are no health problems then you can start to try and build her confidence in you and her new home. i have a web page with some ideas about how to do this here
