My cat is a grey tabby who is 12 yrs old now. I have noticing he has some constipation problems. So i started to feed him wet food and it seems to work once in awhile. But for the very first time I noticed he had a hard stool and green in color. So what is the problem now? Please help me

Hi
Cat constipation like human constipation is caused by either diet deficiencies, lack of moisture in diet or lack of exercise.

Even though wet food does provide some moisture for your cats sometimes they need extra water to keep them regular too, this is why i often only feed dry food which has encouraged my cats to drink lots of water.

However it is important that if this keeps happening that you have your cat checked by a vet in case of some underlying illness or problem.

I have a web page about cat constipation which gives more detail on what you can do to help your cat.

here is the page
