crying cat

my cat is at least 10 plus years old and has recently started constant meowing or crying. Sometimes it is a low moan. She has also started following me every where and crying if she cant see me. I know my cat is affectionite but this has increased dramaticly in the last month or so. She does'nt eat as much either.

It could be because she is getting older now. Some cast just become more clingy as they get older. It may even be a little age related senility. Please see this page for more details of this

It is always a good idea to have your cat checked by a vet if their behaviour changes significantly just to be on the safe side.
