Crying Cat

Hi i have 2 female cats both spade and lately another cat keeps coming into my gardens crying all the time really loudly.. I tried to befriend it but it wont come near me so i cant see if its male or female,It kinda hangs around with my 2 cats they dont seem to fight ? Why would the cat be crying so much ? Id like to try catch it to bring to the vet for a check up and maybe neuter it and let it go it looks well fed .

Sounds to me like a tom cat calling for mates. we have a stray tom cat in our area too and he just wanders around the area crying all the time. we are trying to catch him too to have him neutered.

If your cats are spayed they wont be giving off any scents of being in heat etc so the tome cat won't be interested. However if he becomes too frustrated he may have a go anyway, I have seen that happen.

if it is a female cat who is not spayed then they too call for mates.

If you can catch this kitty and have them spayed / neutered you would be doing a great service to the cat and to the other cats in the area. I wish you luck.
