I have a 17-pound cat that I am transitioning to a diet of soft food only. I am tempted during this transition to begin the process of making its food from meats, poultry, and vegetables, however, for the long haul. At the rate of 3/4 of the 5.5 oz. cans TWICE daily soft cat food, would it be reasonable to expect loss of the 5 pounds within 3 OR 6 months?

Hi, sorry i am not able to answer this question as it very much depends on the cats own motabolism and activity level as to how much weight and how soon they wil loss it. It is importnat to make sure your cat gets plenty of exercise as well as reducing the amount of food he eats.
