female cat behavioral changes, loss of hair

I think my cat may be sick. She has recently lost alot of hair from the backs of her hind legs, bottom, all around the base of her tail/lower back. Also she has started peeing EVERYWHERE. Tiny amounts all all surfaces, including her owners. There's also a definite possibility she has stopped cleaning herself because her coat feels dirty. Is this something common that will pass?

this does not sound like something that will pass on its own without treatment. It sounds rather nasty and i really think your cat needs to see a vet.

It is impossible to say exactly what could be the cause, it may be an allergy or a parasite problem, either way your cat is distressed and needs treatment.
