female cat leaking

hello my female cat Sassy is leaking white fluid from her rear end. i believe from her vagina. I was wondering what causes this. Is she in heat or is there a more serious problem? She is about 4 years old, and not fixed.

Hi yes it may have something to do with her being in heat but i suspect that she may have an internal infection which needs to be seen and treated by a vet.

This is another good reason for having cats spayed as there are health benefits too for the cat apart from not getting pregnant.

In the meantime I would check with your vet to make sure that she does not have an infection.

I have 2 female cats that r fixed. and they are leaking from the rear end and it has a bad odor to it. want to know why. Amy one know why?

Reply: Sounds like an infection but it is strange that it is happening to both cats. If this has been going on for more than a few days best to see a vet. Kate
