Friendly Cats Gone Mad

I have two cats: 1 is 10 years old and has lived in our house for ten years. The other is 1 1/2 years old and has lived with us for 1 year. They are both indoor cats. Yesterday a neighbor went underneath the window my cats were sitting in and caused quite a bit of howling and and hissing. Since then, my two cats are howling and hissing at each other. They attack each other and act like they hate each other. What happened? How can I get them to be friendly again? Thank you.

This sounds like trauma aggression it is a common problem after a fright.
