i am not sure what is wrong with my cat

My 3 year old cat recently got over a bladder infection (about 4mo ago), he is on special diet and all. Over the past few weeks, his behavior has turned odd. He is more aggressive and irritable, he may have stomach pain, pulls away if i touch his underside, but he is not peeing everywhere like he did before i took him in for the bladder infection. He is also losing his hair on his neck, his tail and bottom, around his legs; also developing scabs. His coat has lost its luster. He is like a different cat. Any ideas?

hi i really do not like the sound of this at all and I would definitely recommend another trip to the vets. the combination of behaviour change which could well be associated with pain and the fur loss could suggest a parasite problem, worms etc. However a vet would be best placed to examine your cat and find out exactly which one and treat accordingly.

Any behaviour change like this needs to be taken seriously as this is often the only way a cat can display ill health or pain.

I hope he is better soon as it certainly sounds like he is in some distress.

best wishes Kate
