I found a sick stray

by Amber

ON the way home today i saw a cat limping across the road. I can never leave a sick or starving animal behind so i took it back to my place. It has thin unhealthy fur and she is really bony like she has been starving. She wont eat, drink or use her litter box. I do not know what to do. She looks pregnant because her belly is very big and everything else is skinny. Her stomach isnt sagging from maybe being old so i come to the conclusion that she is pregant. But all she has been doing for the past 5 hours is laying under my bed. Please help me because i dont know what to do.

thanks,
Amber

poor little thing, well if ut is starving it will need to eat soon. the problem is it may have an underlining illness which is making it thin or it may have been hit by a car and has internal injuries. My best advice is that if you have decided to take responsibility for the cat and look after it is to get her checked by a vet as soon as possible, that way you will know what you are deailing with and whether or not you can bring her back to health.

Poor little thing must be scared to death and that is why she is hiding, also if she is feeling unwell she will also want to hide herself away.

i wish you the very best and hope that the vet can give you some help in bringing her back to happiness and health.

best wishes Kate
