I have a scardey cat...

I recently shaved my dog and now my cat won't come out from underneath my bed. The second she saw the dog, her back arched, her tail poofed up and under the bed she went. How do I make her realize it's the same dog with a hair cut or will she eventually figure this out for herself?

This reaction is a common one which occurs when a cat is scared by something new or unexpected.

It may sort itself out but to make sure it may be an idea to re introduce the two animals to each other using the safe method. it is designed to build confidence without fear of attacks etc. the process is described on my page here
