I have a spraying cat what shall I do

Our male adult spayed cat, has recently started to spray in the house. Our guess is that he is not adjusting to the new kitten that we recently brought home, which is understandable. What has started happening, is that, he has started to spray ME or near me. My husband and I are fit to be tide at his behavoir. We've tried to be extra attentive, etc, but his behavoir is getting out of hand. Any suggestions?

Thank you,

yes you are right the behaviour is proably associated with the arrival of the newe kitten. the urinating is to mark his territory and to and it also helps to make him feel more secure. You belong to him and that is why he is trying to scent you too.

My best advise is that you may need to take your cat through the litter box training routine again see my web page https://www.our-happy-cat.com/cat-litter-box.html
Also make sure that you have seperate litter trays and areas for both of your cats, this is important.
