is my cat bored with his food

My cat is seven months old. he used to eat wet food and he liked so much, but about 4 months ago he began to make stool with blood in it, doctors treated him first as worm in his stomach. but the blood disappear a little then return back. now the doctor says that he has inflammatory bowel syndrome and that he must eat only one kind of food all his life which is ROYAL CANIN GASTRO INTESTINAL. but i feel now that he get bored from the food and he eats cause he has no other choice.what can i do? is he bored or depressed?

Well yes cats do get bored with their food from time to time. This is natural because their instinct is not to reply on one source of food in case it disappears.

However as you at does have a health issue it is important that he continues to eat this sort of food.

If i were you i would telephone your vets and ask them if there are any alternative foods which would be ok for your cat or whether you can mix a little wet food with the dry to try and pep the cats food up.
