my female unspayed cat is around a year old yesterday i noticed that she was walking funny with her hind legs down a bit she has just had her first season she also has clear discharge coming from her vagina and is off her food a bit she is still very affectionate though and follows me everywhere

hi well she could be in heat, her symptoms could suggest this. See this page for more details on being in heat

The other possibility is that she has a slight infection. keep an eye on her and if the discharge becomes heavier or more discolored then i would take her to the vets for a check up.
