hi im really worried bout my cats one has crystals i know that and so they are on special dry food for that but the last few weeks one of them (zakky) has been peeing in every corner and throwin up once a day but then he seems fine and still runs around playing and everything but refuses to eat much wet food mainly dry food and now the other one (mely) has started throwing up but she has more jumpy sorta maybe tiny bit different brathing than usual i havent taken them to the vet which i will as soon as i get money but was wonderin if you had a clue what it could be or what i should do in the meantime to help them. i lost my first cat on christmas day to a new cancer in cats that couldnt be cured which was a shock cause he was so healthy till 3 days before christmas he just stopped eating and i really do not want to loose these two they are my life my family everything to me so i am desperate to get any advice at all please help my poor babys :'(

Answer from Kate
Well if your cat does have a water infection then only antibiotics will help from the vet.

It is important that cats drink plenty of fresh water to help prevent uti's, I only feed my cats top quality dry food which means that they always drink water afterwards or during the day.

All i can advise is that you see my web page about this sort of behavior and see if you think it could just be behavioral rather than due to any illness.

If the problem continues for more than a week then your only option is to take them to the vets.

best wishes Kate
