Kitten acting weird

What does it mean when my 7 month kitten will not let her butt touch the ground? She usually likes to be picked up, but she is restless and meows when you hold her. She will lay on the ground but her hind legs will be standing up and she will not stop moving them, while her butt is not touching the ground. She keeps fishing for attention by rubbing up against me, but I keep giving her non stop attention. What does this mean? I checked her butt and there is nothing there, her poop is normal, and she is eating regularly. Do you think she is constipated or sick?

Hi well it could be caused by several things. if she is not spayed then she may be going through her first heat. Often this may feel uncomfortable of strange for the cat and can cause them to hold themselves differently especially in the rear end.

or yes she could be constipated or have an infection. However to be sure you would have to take her to see a vet to make sure that there were no problems in that area.

At 7 months if she is not spayed it could well be her first heat.
