Kitten appears to spasm while being bottle fed

by Jeanette

I recently rescued 5 kittens from 2 different litters. I am currently bottle feeding, all the kitties have taken to the bottle quite well. One of the kittens takes to the bottle, but appears to act spastic or have spasms while suckling. Any explanation?

hi
I don't know if you have had the kittens checked my a vet or not.But I wonder if perhaps this kitten may be the runt of the litter and may have a genetic problem, perhaps with their palette.

Possibly the kitten is fitting and this may be due either to over excitement at being fed or a neurological disorder.

to be honest I think that if you have not had them checked out by a vet that this is probably your bets option at this stage. better to know where you stand with them and also if they require any special extra care.

best wishes kate
