Hi I got a 2 6wk old kitty's but one passed away he was really sick the one left behind cried alot so we just got a new 3 month old kitten, Who seems to be mean to the 6wk old hissing and bopping him on the head. We want them to get along any suggestions? how long do you think it will take for them to take to each other? The 6wk old wants to play and is very loveable the 3 month old not so much.

Hi well as they are both kittens they should be able to get along eventually. The bapping on the head is just playing and sussing each other out. Cat play can look rather aggressive but if they are not hissing and spitting and each other then it is just play and they should be allowed to carry on. There should be no claws etc.

I have two kittens and when they play it looks like a real fight but there is no sound and they do not bite hard or claw, it just looks fierce.

The little one needs some time to get bigger so that he can give as good as he gets, don't worry he will.

If there is aggression involved then the introduction method for cats is advised here
